The Shimano BTR BaitRunner can handle nearly any live bait application from the small Shimano BTR 4000D for freshwater and inshore species to the large Shimano BTR 12000D for offshore.
The new Shimano Baitrunner D gives you better castability, better line lay, less backlash, wind knots or tangles, less friction on the line, larger, more comfortable grips, a higher max drag as well as a wider range of Shimano Baitrunner settings as the earlier models.

All these Shimano BTR BaitRunner D spinning reels have 3 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing.

The Shimano BTR4000D, Shimano BTR6000D and Shimano BTR8000D are 4.8 gear ratio.  The Shimano BTR12000D is 4.4 gear ratio.
